Should revolting against Afghanis create a theology of spears? Is the hairy man closer to heaven? I dig the turban, man . . . and the beard. Chilling at the Gurdwara was my favorite day. Weird? They dished out free food, not condemnation and a sullen mood. The big churches could learn, leave their pomp and peculiarities for straightforward charity. You don’t have to sign a dotted line to lounge in the langar and enjoy the ragas, but, please, respect the austerity. British drunks and German punks, find another place to engage in loud disparity, yes, please disregard western polarity.
ReplyDeleteI looked at the photo and then I read your Drabble. I don’t know how this led to thinking if this image transposed as a painting Odilon Redon would have stroked it. Revision: I do know but I don’t understand the adequacy of the sense—intuition leaves me unsatisfied. I am exhausted by artists pinchhit intuition for adequate answer. I am totally totes a snob when it comes to epistemology. Stop, like every century except the one that hasn’t begun, dreaming evasions of South Asia. For starters, learn the names and approximate locations of four states in India. Say Pradesh.
