  1. There is a winter legend in the hinterlands. Once a year, under the fingernail of a winter moon, Lady Upsskra rises from her watery slumber between two naked oaks along the river Gölle. If you should see her, resplendent under the star of diamond sparkles, make sure to approach with caution. Place a loaf of dark bread and a jack of ale on a red linen kerchief and step back. If she should eat the meal, only then may you ask her to give a boon—a gift different for each person and unique to his or her deepest desires.

  2. The image reminds me of the artwork of Yayo Kusama and Hilda of Klimst but inferior. I don’t even like the paintings of Klimst. When it comes to paintings, I am not a feminist. Painting, true, needs feminism. Feminism might need more ice. I mean be icier. But fuck the speed of glaciers past. And, alas, curse the speed of glaciers present. Ice and unrefined oil taunt the woman with her canvas’ wrack of contemporary boners. She has the dissonance of Schoenberg’s twelve tones for company. The world in the boiler room dissolves the wide world’s cases. Deep blue beluga.
