  1. Hugin, lord of the storm crows, will always tell you what he thinks. Besides that, he can’t be blocked except by other creatures with flying. His summoning cost is one blue mana and one mana of any color. His sister, Muninn, the lady of the east, doesn’t mind a bit if you pay more attention to Hugin. While the attack of both creatures is a one, the defense of Muninn is a two. I’ve seen the artwork for both, and Muninn glistens with a navy-blue luster while splaying feathered wings against a sky filled with clouds of white and silver.

  2. Something like lightning replaces his arteries. I cannot prove it, but I think they stand in for Eve and Adam. Birds, like leaves on cobwebs, rest overhead even as they don’t look the right species to keep aloft on thermals. Christianity, despite what this image almost intimates, need not fear a carrion-stage. Even teleology beams relief so count from one to one hundred and order ribs for your reward. Even teleology beams relief at the degradations she lives and lives. Therefore, I switch to Mantegna—a sandal as big as a horizon ripples wheat, and it steps into my retinas.
